In the expansive garden location known as the Coutts Centre for Western Canadian Heritage, weddings, business meetings, and workshops are all possible. With magnificent grounds, inviting venues, and outstanding culinary facilities, they can help you make the most of your special day or corporate retreat.
When you elope behind the cover of trees in Southern Alberta, the wind wafts around you as you say your vows. With its well-kept grounds and a buffet of flower colours, the Coutts Centre will astonish you with its magnificence for your wedding.
A riot of colour is experienced for three seasons of the year, and a winter paradise is experienced for the fourth. A lovely barn is available for receptions. For that evening glow, cafe lights are hung around the gardens.It’s truly a magical experience.
The South Barn is the original Tapp Barn that was relocated to the site in 2006, and is ideal for field trips, seminars and celebrations. It can hold 36 people.
Originally a chicken coup, Chicken Farm is now a beautiful, open-concept structure, perfect for conferences, meetings, celebrations, and retreats for 59 people.
In the Hayshed Pavilion, you can accommodate up to 120 guests in the spacious event area which can be either open or walled. The pavilion also has a special concession area and is beautifully renovated.
In the summer of 2016, North Barn was demolished completely as a fully licensed kitchen where your wedding food could be prepared. No matter what type of event you're planning, this fantastic new addition will meet all your needs, whether it's a small conference or retreat or a huge event.
The Coutts Center Heritage Gardens consist of over 18 perennial and annual gardens, meandering walking routes through tall grass meadows, and an original shelterbelt. There are several seats on the grounds where guests may rest and take in some fresh air.
There are 3 main wedding packages, for 3 different wedding styles and rentals, all varying in price and services.
-Classic Ceremony and Reception for (120 guests)
-Intimate Ceremony and Reception (for 50 guests)
-Garden Ceremony
But here’s a general list of service examples:

• Ceremony chairs with white cushions
• Reception table and chair setup.
• Rental option available for tableware,
• Set up and cleaning.
• Podium and PA system, with corded microphones
• Lighted parking area
• Tables for the registry and accent tables
& more, all specific to the packages.
Decorations are all up to you.
Signs may be placed on the trees, but they ask that no structures, grounds, or gardens be damaged in any way.
If the outside caterer has a business license and insurance coverage of at least $5 million, the venue will approve them.
Note that alcohol is the couple’s responsibility as well.
