About Na Lia Weddings

Na Lia Weddings is a wedding photography business that specializes in modern, classic and destination weddings. Their work is an emotional and conceptual representation of clients' love stories delivered through a contemporary & timeless artistic perspective.

With the influence of photographers running through the family, the idea of creating tangible heirlooms for clients was an undeniable career path.

After graduating at the top of her class with a Bachelor of Arts in photography at Melbourne's RMIT University, Shardey Olynyk has gone on to photograph hundreds of weddings. Some have been featured and published on print and digital platforms such as Dancing With Her, Nouba, HOORAY Magazine, The Anti-Bride, Rock and Roll Bride and many more.

Doing their part to reduce the effect of global warming, Na Lia Weddings gives back a percentage of its annual profits to the Greenpeace Fund, a global organization which promotes Greenpeace’s mission: To halt environmental destruction and to promote solutions for future generations.

Experience

You have to enjoy your photographers' presence as you will be with them the entire day. This photographer prides themselves in having a pretty fantastic personality. Shardey likes to joke and have a laugh but also likes to make sure you stick to your timeline so she'll be managing the clock so you don't have to.

There are two popular editing styles in wedding photography (bright & airy or dark & moody), and Na Lia falls in between those two. Over the years, she has fine-tuned her edit so that the images don’t age and are in fact literally, timeless. Shardey Olynyk keeps them looking rich, crisp and sharp but never over the top.

Shardey Olynyk has studied photography and graduated with honours with a Bachelor of Arts photography degree in Melbourne, Australia. She learned all the technical aspects of photography focusing on lighting and composition. Also with a camera in her hand every single day for three years, Shardey Olynyk has more than enough expertise to share with you.
