About Lougheed House

Lougheed House National and Provincial Historic Site was built in 1891, in what would become Calgary’s Beltline neighborhood. Lougheed House was built by James and Isabella Lougheed and is one of the last remaining examples of a grand sandstone prairie mansion. Today, it a wedding and events venue, museum, and exhibition space. The interior of Lougheed House has been professionally restored and conserved, to provide a historic setting with period detailing, bright natural light and antique furnishings, including an 1891 Steinway grand piano.

Facilities and Capacity

Design your event to take over the whole house or customize the space in one or a few rooms. Their formal gardens, rose garden, and elegant landscaping can also be booked to backdrop your event. They are the perfect spot for intimate weddings and offer pricing packages for weddings of 40 guests and less, or more than 40 guests, with a maximum of 100 guests for any event.
When renting their facilities, you have the option of choosing to rent the whole house or just the Victorian drawing room. If you're looking to rent less than the whole house, but want to add some extra rooms for your wedding party, they also offer room add-ons so that your space can perfectly reflect your wedding party size.
One of the most beautiful features of Lougheed House are the surrounding Beaulieu gardens. They offer outdoor wedding packages with tent rental and more so you can celebrate your special day surrounded by the natural splendor of their carefully tended gardens.

The formal dining room includes a historic bar and the house is fully equipped with a commercial kitchen.
