About Cillema
Cillema is a wedding videography service that is publicly known for its "old school VHS" style of video creation. The firm offers its services to clients in Vancouver, the Kootenays, and beyond.
The owner and director of the firm, Alex Beaucage, has always been passionate about documenting real, genuine, and unique stories. For that reason, he studied cinema at Cégep de Saint-Jérôme, specifically video editing, screenwriting, and film studies.
After graduating, he created content for successful Kickstarter campaigns, which raised cumulatively over $3 million, and many re-branding projects. Some of the studios he has worked in include Reign Films, Papercrane Creative, RF Weddings, IDI Productions, Vanessa TV, and Kartel TV.
Eventually, he created his own company where he creates more videos for brands, as well as creating wedding films for couples.
The team at the firm approaches filmmaking with a "fly on the wall" style, and they use cameras that people used in the 1980s. As a result, their wedding films look like a VHS movie, thus giving off a nostalgic vibe.
