About The Permanent
The Permanent is an elegant event space in Vancouver that specializes in hosting private events and weddings unique in every aspect. This is among the most historic venues in the city and used to be the Bank of Canada’s first Western Branch. It has since transformed into one of the most sought-after venues for memorable weddings. The Permanent features amenities, modern elegance, and an old-world charm. It is the perfect spot to start a new chapter in your life.
• The Permanent has a single function space that can seat up to 130 guests or accommodate 250 guests in a cocktail-style or standing reception. Including vendors and staff, the event space’s maximum capacity is 263 people. The venue includes three levels of usable event space.
• A special bridal room at the back of the house can be used as a green room or for the bridal party to refresh and get ready in.
• The Permanent provides an on-site facility manager or supervisor included with your rental. Their job is to ensure that your special day goes as smoothly as possible without any stress to you.
• A security host is stationed at the front door to greet your guests.
• Cleaning after your event is taken care of by the venue’s team.
• The function area has an Epson zone-specific audio system. 2 wireless mics and iPod connectivity are provided.
• The main floor and the 2nd floor have zone-specific light dimming functionalities.
• Coat check facilities, hangers, and racks are provided with the rental. Attendants for this area can also be arranged on request.
• All bar glassware and kitchen facilities, and appliances for catering are a part of the rental.
• The Permanent has a list of 7 preferred caterers that you are free to choose from for your wedding. Licensed external caterers may be permitted provided they follow the venue’s Catering Rider policies.
• You can purchase liquor and alcohol through The Permanent and have their bartenders serve the same. Bringing your alcohol is not permitted.
• Any beverages that are not on the menu can also be arranged, and the General Manager can assist with the same.
