About Northern Bear Golf Course
The Northern Bear Golf Course is located 41km away to the southeast of Edmonton. The golf course is becoming a popular event venue, primarily as a wedding venue, because of its picturesque setting of the lush green of the fairway and greens of the golf course as a backdrop for the wedding celebrations. The facilities available at the golf course are a tribute to the professionalism of the golf course authorities, considering this is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.
The Northern Bear Golf Course has three event spaces on its premises that can be used as wedding venues:
•The Club House is a spectacular place with floor-to-ceiling windows enabling sweeping views of the magnificent golf course. It can be used for events, including wedding receptions.
•One Meeting Room serves as a wedding venue for weddings, receptions and other events.
•A wedding area that can be used as an innovative wedding venue.
•All the spaces have enough space to accommodate 150 wedding guests.
•Wedding Reception Package - Banquet Hall rental (7 am - 12 am), service staff and bartender, private deck, white table linen and napkins
•Wedding Ceremony Package, Patio Package - 3-hour rental, outdoor sound system
•Wedding Ceremony Package, Green Space Package - outdoor sound system
•Extra chairs can be rented
•Set up and tear down of tables and chairs

The Northern Bear Golf Course is set in the slightly undulating topography of the area, giving an ethereal atmosphere. The décor is defined by the golf course’s colours and high ceilings sloped with spotlights attached to them. The walls are wood-panelled and polished to provide a rich look. The linens and chair cushions are in a lighter shade of brown to match the wooden panels.
The in-house catering is very particular about sourcing ingredients from the local farming community so that seasonal foods can be a part of the menu. The menu choice is extensive, and four buffet options are available – The Golden Bear Prime Rib Buffet, The Black Bear Buffet, The Brown Bear Buffet and The Bears Den Buffet. There are choices for Entrees and Salads. There is a separate Dinner Reception Menu and Late Night Snacks Menu. The Bar options comprise Rye, White Rum, Spiced Rum, Vodka, Gin, Scotch, Domestic Beer, Red & White Wines, Assorted bar choice liqueurs and a Wedding Wine list.
