About Parkwood Estate
Parkwood Estate is one of Oshawa’s oldest and grandest wedding venues. It dates back to 1917 when a 55-room mansion was built on a 15 000 square feet estate by Canada’s General Motors founder. Today it is a National Historic Site with original furnishings, landscaping, gardens, architecture, and art faithfully preserved. It is the perfect location for an extraordinary wedding ceremony and reception drenched in natural beauty, grandeur, elegance, and history. Parkwood Estate is one of the picturesque places that make your wedding photographs idyllic.
• Parkwood National Historic Site ceremonies can be hosted at several places within the estate with plenty of interior and exterior spaces to choose from. Wedding planners set up in areas like the newly restored Greenhouse, the Japanese Gardens, The Italian Garden, The Formal Garden with a Fountain, or Sunken Garden. A magnificent arch plus aisle and guests seated on Chiavari chairs. During your celebration, all gardens are open to public visitations.
- Outdoor Garden Wedding Ceremonies can accommodate up to 100 guests.
- Mansion Ceremonies have a capacity of 37 guests.
- Japanese Garden Ceremonies can host up to 10 guests.
• Tennis Court caters to 200 seated guests under a large marquee tent. A choice of long, round, and rectangular tables with festive lighting and Parkwood's décor. Silver and gold Chiavari chairs at all tables as well as table linen.
• Parkwood Sunroom and Loggia caters to 100 seated guests and 125 cocktail-style receptions. Luxurious and grand, a bridal table dressed in white or ivory while you choose colours for guest table linens and napkins. You can arrange for table décor and tableware unless provided by your third-party catering company.
