YWCA Durham has a long history that spans more than a century, with the first group organized in 1895 by Adelaide Hoodless. As a pure non-profit organization that helps women and children, people who rent facilities from YWCA Durham contribute to helping the organization provide essential services. In the heart of Oshawa, with a beautiful touch of history, YWCA Durham offers an elegant and memorable celebration for both you and your guests at your wedding celebration.

Facilities and Capacity

• The gymnasium is suitable for 340 cocktail-style guests and 250 seated guests. Choose your floor plan and table layout, and enjoy the rear stage entrance, large stage for live music, DJ performance, or bridal table. There is plenty of space to have a large dance floor while theatrical drapery rounds off the area. Round and long tables available, plus chairs.
• Club Room caters to 30 guests with its small kitchen for catering.
• The Oak Room is magnificent with a decorative plaster ceiling, dark oak panelling, and wall-to-wall windows. It is perfect for a banquet or dinner-style receptions with seating for 30 guests.
• The Drawing room is elegant and grand for intimate weddings for up to 50 seated guests. Round table cloths in various colours are accompanied by round tables with chairs available as well. The drawing room is beautifully elegant with a period chandelier, crown moulding, hardwood floors, hand-detailed and decorative marble fireplace and large bay windows with stunning courtyard views.
