About The Tett Centre
As a charitable arts organization, the Tett Centre operates within the magnificent JK Tett heritage building that underwent extensive renovations in 2015 while keeping its original architecture intact as a historic building. It is close to the Sunnyside and Alwington neighbourhoods, Portsmouth Village, Queens University, and downtown Kingston and Portsmouth Olympic Harbor.
Besides its historical background, it is a preferable event and wedding venue with its beautiful waterfront location. For couples searching for a harmony of history nature, The Tett Centre offers has it all.
• The Malting Tower is a combination of modern features with old world historical charm. It is suitable for 150 standing receptions with cocktail tables, while round tables will seat 100 guests. It is light-filled with large windows offering breathtaking views of the lake: high tech sound plus speaker, iPod plugin with a projector screen for showcasing bridal or couple photos. On-touch operated fireplace with magnificent floor tiles reception guests have floor space of 1 600 square feet. It includes a bridal room, a fully equipped kitchen for catering while you have rectangular and round tables, and upholstered chairs available for rental.
• The Rehearsal Hall is 1 500 square feet with 12-foot ceilings, exposed limestone walls, and semi-sprung floors. For a standing wedding reception, it has space for 80 guests and 60 seated guests. It also has its large kitchen for third-party catering.
