About Maclaren Art Centre
Maclaren Art Centre is an award-winning public gallery located in Barrie, Ontario, that can be used as a wedding venue to host your special ceremony or a grand reception. The Gallery boasts of 27,408 artworks and hosts top-class art exhibitions year-round. The venue is located amidst the picturesque locality of Barrie and is only an hour’s ride away from Toronto Airport.
The architecture of the venue combines a refurbished historic 1917 Carnegie Library to which some recent additions were made by renowned architect Siamak Hariri of Hariri Pontarini. The newly renovated Carnegie Room comes with a warm and elegant backdrop, and your wedding guests can enjoy the natural light which enlightens the room from the stunning windows and high ceilings. This room can host a cocktail-style reception event for up to 200 guests or a dining event for up to 150 guests.
Also, you can choose to host your ceremony in the outdoor courtyard, embellished by the building’s beautiful exterior and beautiful surrounding trees. The courtyard's unique architectural features blend perfectly with the stunning flora to provide a memorable backdrop for your picture-perfect venue.
