About The Gem

The Gem Event Centre is a charming wedding venue located in Banff, Alberta. The Bow Valley's newest high-capacity event centre is based in Harvie Heights, only a couple of minutes from the Banff National Park gates.

Facilities and Capacity

This new venue can accommodate up to 160 seated guests and 200 cocktail style. Split over two levels, the upper mezzanine floor will be home to indoor ceremonies and 'The Opal Bar,' offering high-end cocktail service and your late-night party. The lower level is the main dining room, with 'The Onyx Bar' at one end and an operational commercial catering kitchen at the back. There is an outdoor patio at the front of the building to use during cocktail hour or during dinner to soak up the uninterrupted views of Rundle Range and Cascade mountains. The design concept of The Gem encompasses luxury, modern touches, and elegant finishes. The Gem offers spectacular scenic views, and benefits from venue coordination by Rocky Mountain Wedding Collective.

Services

The Gem Event Centre team will coordinate your booking, rental of chairs and signing table with setup and tear-down, the use of Bluetooth speakers and microphones, and more. Rental includes all chairs, with a choice between vineyard or clear ghost, as well as tables and tableware, linens, and staffing. The catering will be provided by one of our preferred vendors. There is also parking available onsite, and charging stations for electric cars.

Decorations

Modern, Mid-Century details and finishing. Polished concrete floors, light and bright aesthetic with huge windows for natural light and views of the mountains.

In-House Catering

Choice of full catering from one of four local catering partners based in Canmore. Different preferences of food and service are available such as Western style, Indian style, or full vegan menus.

They also have two extra choices for cocktail style catering such as charcuterie tables.

Accommodation

On-site accommodations available for up to 60 guests. Close amenities nearby including several Airbnb properties.
