About The Metropolitan Entertainment Centre

The Metropolitan Entertainment Center is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, a 5-minute drive from the city center. After closed in 1987, it was reopened in 2012 by Canad Inns.

It offers the modern couple different wedding styles like vintage, city, classic, and glamorous. The venue combines classical architecture with modern technology to give beautiful event spaces ideal for holding various events and functions. Your wedding requirements are easily met with an indoor or uncovered outdoor setting. In 2019 it was awarded the Venue of the Year Award.

Facilities and Capacity

The historic boutique hall offers several event spaces ideal for hosting a variety of functions. These spaces include the Met Grand Hall, the Met Terrace, Allen restaurant, the Met Lounge, The Met Function Room, and The Patio.

• The Met Grand Hall is 6,037 square feet, and it features high ceilings. It can accommodate 450 guests in a reception setting or 400 guests theatre-style.
• The Met Terrace is 5,598 square feet and can accommodate 225 guests theatre style. It features flat-screen TVs, internet connectivity, a projector, and more.
• Allen Restaurant is 2,350 square feet with a ceiling height of 11 feet. It can host up to 160 guests in a cocktail reception.
• The Met Lounge is 1,979 square feet and a ceiling height of 9 feet. It can accommodate up to 80 guests in a cocktail reception.
• The Met Function room is 1,193 square feet with a ceiling height of 9 feet. It can comfortably hold 80 guests cocktail setting.
