About Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre
The grounds of the UBC Vancouver campus have one of the most special wedding venues in the city, that is, the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre. This functions pace comes with a contemporary design along with all modern facilities to provide you with an affordable and sophisticated setting for your wedding day. Named after one of the most dedicated donors and alumni of the university, this function space has it all to make your wedding reception memorable in all the right ways.
● The Jack Poole Hall is the largest function space at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre. This room can accommodate up to 300 guests seated or 400 standing. It also has multiple seating layouts, including banquet and theatre-style setups.
● The Wong-Trainor Welcome Centre is designed exclusively for gatherings and events such as wedding receptions and cocktail parties. This 1,900 sq. ft. of function space comes with minimal decor in a modern-lounge like setup and can accommodate up to 300 guests standing.
● The Achievement Lounge is a 900 sq. ft. function room that is located on the main floor. This space can be rented individually or with the Wong-Trainor Welcome Centre. It can accommodate up to 40 guests in its sophisticated setting.
● The Walter C. Koerner Family Lounge is located next to the top-floor balcony. This space has modern furniture and decor suitable for cocktail receptions and casual gatherings. It has a capacity of 36 guests.
● Function space rentals at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre include in-house chairs and tables, set up and tear down room cleaning, and basic audio-visual equipment.
● An on-site coordinator and one security guard are also provided on the wedding day.
● Any additional audio-visual equipment that is required can also be arranged for rent.
● Paid parking is available on the university campus and can be pre-booked for your guests’ convenience. Valet services are also available.
● Booking time and durations are flexible.
● Rehearsal dinners and prior access to the function space for decorations can be provided subject to availability. Access 90-minutes before the function start time is part of the rental.
● The Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre has exclusive catering partners who provide your guests with a memorable culinary experience with the finest food and beverages. You can choose from any of the preferred caterers for your wedding.
● In case of religious or cultural preferences, you are allowed to choose your catering service as well.
● Liquor service is permitted at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre with a Special Occasions License that must be procured separately.
