About Bates Barn

Located in Southern New Brunswick, in the hub of Saint John, Sussex, Moncton & Fredericton, Bates Barn is situated on 15 acres of farmland, with a magnificent view, no matter the season, of the beautiful Belleisle Bay & the Belleisle Belle, the longest cable ferry in Eastern Canada. Constructed in 2017 and open year-round, they do not discriminate and welcome everyone! Facilities and Capacity

Its’ all wood 44’ X 82’ structure, high ceiling & majestic beams provide a rustic yet modern & elegant feel. With approximately 2500 square feet on the main level, the barn will accommodate 175+ guests seated with 900 square feet of additional space in the Mezzanine. Clients can choose to be married inside the venue or at the Arch outside overlooking Belleisle Bay. The Venue is wheelchair accessible with ample parking and full climate control guests are always comfortable. Bates Barn is equipped with a PA System; free Wifi and Satellite; an in-ceiling screen and projector for sharing your memories; a fire alarm and a security system. Nearby attractions include golfing; hiking, Fundy Trail, fishing, waterfalls, cable ferries, covered bridges & a Quilt Barn Tour. Depending on your date, check out the seasonal on-farm activities as well! (U-Pick Fruit/Vegetables; Roadside Market).

Services

Bates Barn provides a beautiful venue with magnificent views of the Belleisle Bay; on-site or virtual tours year-round; full bar service; a prep/clean-up kitchen; wedding party room with a private shower; access to Docks & a Mooring (for clients or guests travelling to the barn via boat); beaches, water/power hook-up for overnight camping & access to a Log House for the wedding party or guests. There are ample spaces for the photographer including a covered outside location (in case of climate weather), an Apple Orchard, beachfront, open fields and worn buildings, just to name a few. The caterer has access to the kitchen under the lean-to at the front of the barn away from guests with covered access to set up a BBQ.

Decorations

Bates Barn has limited decor included in the booking fee including tables & chairs for both adults and children, large barrels, lanterns & ceiling wreaths. At booking, clients are given a Preferred Vendors List to assist with planning that includes Wedding Planners and Decor Rental.

In-House Catering

Catering is not provided by Bates Barn. The client can choose the Caterer of choice from the Preferred Vendors List offered by Bates Barn or another caterer not on the list.

Accommodation

Bates Barn has a number of power/water hookups on site for overnight camping guests as well as an option to rent a Log House (sleeps 12) located just minutes from the Barn. Bates Barn partners with a local hotel within 30 minutes of the Barn as well as a number of locations found nearby on Airbnb.

With its water view and location within major cities & towns in Southern NB, access by vehicle, water plane or boat, Bates Barn is the perfect setting for your wedding or event. No matter the season, couples are able to choose from a number of wedding packages offered.
