Rabbi Susan Shamash is a passionate, progressive, and independent wedding officiant located in Vancouver, British Columbia. She aims to create personalized, meaningful wedding ceremonies for each couple to show their love and togetherness. Rabbi is honoured to help you in crafting celebrations to meet your dreams and expectations.
Rabbi Susan Shamash has been an active member of the Shalom Synagogue since 1978, and since July 2015, she has been Shalom’s spiritual leader. She was ordained as a Rabbi by ALEPH- Alliance for Jewish Renewal, which incorporates a contemporary democratic Judaism as a social transformer and a thoughtful spiritual practice, reaching beyond institutional structures and religious boundaries. She is a member of OHALAH, the association of Cantors, Rabbis, and Rabbinic Ministers for Jewish Renewal to metropolitan Vancouver, British Columbia.
