About The Crossroads Band
The Crossroads Band is a 4-piece high energy and popular band that plays country, classic rock, and pop cover tunes. The band is fronted by lead vocalist Kathy Carter. Kathy also plays rhythm guitar and keys. Ray Olson is the lead guitarist and also covers vocals and beautiful harmonies. Roy James is the bass player and adds vocals and sweet harmonies. Steve Keevill is the group's drummer and percussionist and provides vocals and harmony too. In addition, Steve does all the band's sound and production. The band members are mature, seasoned and professional musicians. Together, they bring a solid, polished and professional family-friendly show to the stage but most importantly, they have fun, and it is absolutely contagious with all of those in attendance. You bring the celebration: they'll bring the party.
The Crossroads Band was founded in 2006 and is going strong. They have bookings throughout the upcoming year and have no plans of slowing down. The band members have each been playing since childhood, and Ray and Roy each toured professionally for many years as well. The band has played everywhere from many local central Alberta venues and private functions to as far away as headlining The Black Bear Festival in Norman Wells, NWT.
The band offers lively, fun-filled entertainment for your wedding dance. They provide all sound, production and lighting. It will take about 2 hours to set up and do the sound check and about an hour to tear down at the end of the evening. During the reception and on the short band breaks between sets they can provide taped music. They will also set up a separate microphone for the bridal party and their guests to use for speeches and announcements. The band is happy to play a couple of special songs for the happy couple. Often there is a meaningful song for the first dance or for a special dance with a parent or grandparent.
While they have outlined the basic services they provide, if there are any other requests to help make the day special, the band is happy to sit down with the couple to discuss and do whatever they can to make dreams come true.
In conclusion, if you hire The Crossroads Band, you will be hiring professionals. Kathy will work with you from the time you contact her until the conclusion of the big day, to make everything as perfect and fun-filled and stress-free as she can make it. Other band members will also be happy to discuss any ideas as well, to give you clear explanations and peace of mind as to what you can expect, when you hire Crossroads.
