Le Windsor, formerly the Windsor Hotel built in 1878, is one of downtown Montreal's most prestigious and historical landmarks.
The venue, which can be classified as historical, museum, banquet hall, ballroom, or hotel, offers several wedding styles that range from classic, city, modern, and vintage.
The venue provides an indoor type of setting for wedding events and social functions. It has won several awards over the years, including the Durabilys Award for the LEED Interior Design category.
They offer turnkey packages for any occasion, making it a one-stop event planning experience. Anything you imagine is possible; the ballrooms can attest to endless possibilities of transforming themselves into impressive displays of creativity.
Le Windsor offers 15,000 square feet of 4 flexible event spaces with 20 feet high ceilings. The venue is ideal for meetings, weddings, kosher events, conferences, banquets, holiday parties, anniversaries, galas and fundraising events.
Descriptions:
• The Windsor ballroom offers unique historic architecture with an area of 4,600 square feet that can accommodate ~450 guests in a banquet format. It features 3 dazzling crystal chandeliers, towering mirrored French doors, and gilded walls and ceilings.
• The Versailles ballroom is 5,000 square feet that can accommodate up to 300 guests in a banquet format. It features Corinthian columns with golden ceilings and a majestic central crystal chandelier.
• The Peacock alley is a long hallway that separates the 2 ballrooms. It features a historic fireplace, 6 extravagant chandeliers. Most commonly they use this space for cocktail receptions (max capacity ~350) and wedding ceremonies (max capacity ~250)
• The Crystal Lounge has a contemporary and sophisticated feel. It can accommodate from 60 to 220 guests in various styles. Most commonly the space is used for 5@7 cocktails, small receptions like engagement parties and anniversaries.
