About Little Britain United Church
Being renowned as a flourishing heritage site and the oldest United Church in Manitoba translates into being every couple’s go-to community when they wish to incorporate the tradition of the Church with the new ways they want to blend into a sacred wedding celebration. Built between 1872 and 1874 just south of Lower Fort Garry National Park in St. Andrews, the community has completed several restorations and renovations to guarantee a welcoming and dashing sanctuary while still highlighting the sanctity of it. As it is a solemn place, people who are present to assist are extra caring and understanding, preparing your wedding plans very well-thought-of and well-ordered.
The 4,800 square-foot historic hall the venue offers has a maximum capacity of 120 wedding guests. It displays a vaulted ceiling comprised of one uniform arch that extends across the entire arena to draw the eye up and feature the unique architecture. It also boasts its energy-efficient lighting and geothermal heating or cooling system that makes the guests feel comfortable and peaceful as they celebrate the union of two of the most influential people in their lives.

As the venue in which medieval Gothic traditions inspired the architectural expression already gives off a rustic and romantic atmosphere just by its combined historical and modern architecture. The management welcomes the presence of pew decorations or markers, candelabras, and baskets of flowers provided that no nails or tacks would be used to hang any decorations and must be removed immediately after the celebration.
The venue’s kitchen is available for use when the hall is rented, although catering services are not included in the event package. The kitchen features a separate outdoor entrance, two stoves with ovens, freezer, cooker, fridge, work island, three-sink washing area, bar sink, retractable window to the main hall, coffee urns, dishes, and more. If you wish to serve liquors, two event assistants must be present, and a Manitoba Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) permit is required.
