About University of Alberta Botanic Garden

University of Alberta Botanic Garden is situated in Parkland County, Edmonton, 3.1 kilometres West of Edmonton’s city. It occupies 240 acres of land, and it was established in 1959 with indoor show-houses, extensive natural areas, and plant collections. It is an award-winning visitor attraction, has a year-round education program, and a research site. The park offers wedding couples a garden wedding style. University of Alberta Botanic Garden offers three settings: Covered and Uncovered outdoor and indoor settings.

Facilities and Capacity

• The Field House Rentals is on the north end of the Garden, near the Rose Gardens and the Hedge Maze. It is an ideal space for smaller groups of up to 16 guests. It features counter space, a fridge, a stove, sinks, a covered patio area, and washrooms.
• The Classroom is in the Education Building and the Gardens’ Administration block. It has several classroom spaces with a seating capacity of up to 25 guests per table.
• Ikoi no ba can host up to 16 guests. It has double doors that lead to a large deck with additional bench seating.
• Ozawa Pavilion overlooks the Kurimoto Japanese Garden and can be rented with the adjoining Ikoi no ba to host more significant functions of up to 30 standing guests.
• The Wedding Patio can accommodate up to 250 guests.
• The Alpine Garden can accommodate up to 90 guests
• Primula Dell can accommodate from 80 to 90 guests.
