About Prince of Wales Armouries
Prince of Wales Armouries is located in Edmonton, a 6 minutes’ drive from Edmonton city centre. The banquet hall was built in 1915 as a training facility for the Department of National Defence until 1977.
A series of renovations have made this venue one of the perfect venues for hosting various functions and events from corporate and social events like weddings, anniversaries, private parties, and more. The venue has an indoor setting for all events that combines modern facilities with 19th-century architecture.
Prince of Wales Armouries is historical that offers lovely wedding spaces that can be set to accommodate your innermost desires. These facilities include the Governor’s Room and the Jefferson Room.
• The Governor’s Room is located on the second floor and features hardwood maple floors, a gas fireplace, and original rosewood wainscoting, trim, and ceiling beams. It can accommodate up to 100 guests.
• The Jefferson Room is on the main floor, and it features ornate gold, solid handcrafted oak doors, and Vienna swaggered draperies. It also has a carpeted floor and controlled lighting. It can accommodate up to 130 guests.
The facility allows dancing on the main floor rotunda if the reception is held in the Jefferson Room or on the West Terrace if the reception is held in the Governor’s Room.
