About Averill Creek Vineyard

At Averill Creek Vineyard, you can choose between affordable, popular wine varieties. Choose your favourites and customize them to fit your event's aesthetics. A range of wines is available, including Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Rosé, and a limited-edition reserve wine.
A major objective of theirs is to create sincere wines that reflect the location and vintage accurately while also providing enjoyment to the consumer. Through less interference, they can make the transition from vineyard to glass smoother.
Averill Creek was founded by Andy Johnston, an Edmonton-based wine educator and former doctor. By the late 1990s, he was ready to fully devote himself to his greatest interest.
He established a top-notch Pinot Noir winery in Canada thanks to the knowledge he gained from staging at many overseas wineries, including Villa Delia in Tuscany, McGuigan Wines in Australia, Château de Terride in France, Trinity Hill in New Zealand, and Escarpment in Australia.
He has come full circle since returning to his Welsh hill farm roots, where he grew up. As a result of its outstanding Pinot Noir potential, Andy chose and planted a vineyard on the slopes of Mount Prevost at the Cowichan Valley in 2001.
