About Hughes and Mac
Hughes & Mac is a live wedding band based in London, Ontario. The band consists of about 7+ musicians that play a wide range of music. They play acoustic pop, cocktail jazz, soft rock, and quiet dinner.
They can modify the band size and music to suit your wedding setting, from solo musicians to duos, trios, quintets, etc.
Hughes & Mac is very popular at weddings across Ontario for their good music that spices up weddings that opt for their services. They are talented and experienced in playing for weddings in Ontario.
Shelly MacDermid has experience performing at weddings, fairs, corporate functions, and nightclubs. She studied with Brian of the Rock Band Helix. She has built up vocal techniques that enable her to sing continuously without fatigue.
Darryl Fletcher has 16 years of experience performing, songwriting, and recording as the guitarist/vocalist for several rock acts.
Ariel Kasler graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 2005 and performed throughout North America and Israel. He has also taken a Master's degree in Jazz performance at BGSU in Ohio. Kasler is a professional guitarist and keyboardist.
Nicholas Walker is a percussionist who earned his Bachelor of Music in Percussion from the University of Windsor and now teaches drumming at the Academy of Music. He has performed extensively across Ontario.
Barry Usher teaches saxophone and coaches jazz combos in the Music Faculty at the University of Western Ontario. He has worked with many artists and organizations, including Orchestra London Canada.
Ron Walker: He represented Ontario as a house band member at the world expo in Vancouver. He has performed with various groups, including Blooze Brothers and others.
Peter Hysen has vast musical theatre experience and with several groups and artists.
Mary Ashton is a graduate of the UWO Faculty of Music. She studied with Dr. Robert Skelton and Gwen Thompson. She also provides solo music for several weddings on both harp and violin.
