About Height Requirement
Height Requirement chose their name after the band's first basement practice area only had a 6ft high ceiling. Luckily the band members were not hindered by the ceiling height, coining the phrase 'height requirement'. The six members bring their passion for music and talent together to recreate some of the 80s dance era's popular hits.
Jade Bennett provides vocals and acoustic guitar and has been performing music from an early age and has written her music. Jeff Douglas provides vocals, acoustic guitar and percussion. While studying at Cobequid Education Centre, he started to perform publicly. Previous, he was a band member in Eight Feet Under with school friends. Peter Davidson plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, synth, harmonica and vocals. He has been a professional musician for over 30 years and is a St Francis Xavier University Jazz program graduate. Robert Luer plays sax, violin, vocals and keys and grew up in London, where he started playing the keyboard at four. Dale Roode plays bass and brings his love for 80s music to the band, Jim Davison has been playing the drums since his early teens, and all come together with a combined love of 80s music and providing excellent performances.
They can provide music throughout your day, from bridal arrival through to when the party finishes. They can provide music during the signing of the register and background music during the wedding dinner. They are happy to travel and provide fog machines, lighting equipment, microphones and sound/PA systems. They also provide their instruments.
The band knows that the couple should be able to savour the day, let the music play, and add that unique and engaging touch to your special milestone.
