About Scottish Rite Club
In Hamilton's heart is the historical, architecturally magnificent Scottish Rite Club with a mixture of elegance and classic modern amenities. The property dates back to 1816, a farmhouse and where the Cathedral portion of the club is known as the Homestead in 1820. Myrtle Hall, the home which was built in 1884, is where the Grand Lodge now boasts. The Scottish Rite Masons acquired the property in 1920, and it was redesigned with a Cathedral featuring a Casavant Freres pipe organ. The century-old mansion offers history and a unique ambiance.
The Scottish Rite Club offers both ceremonies plus magnificent receptions:
• Scottish Rite Cathedral is majestic and magnificent with a fifty-foot ceiling, theatre-style seating, romantic, elegant lighting with more than ten hand-painted, antique backdrops to choose from for your ceremony. A 100-year old three thousand pie Casavant Organ plays enchanting melodies throughout the ceremony.
• Grand Ballroom offers 4, 300 square foot space featuring a twenty-foot ceiling with huge full-length balconies that overlook from the sides. A professional parquet dance floor and fifteen chandeliers with a twelve-step staircase make a grand entry where two hundred and seventy guests can be seated. It has a ceiling canopy, an elegant, illuminated backdrop, and a fully stocked bar.
• The Round Room features a fifteen-foot domed ceiling and brilliant architectural design. As a partially circular room, it caters to 85 seated guests. It has its bar, restroom facilities, foyer, and entrance.

This heritage building provides classic charm and modern facilities to make your day fantastic. The venue offers exquisite damask table linen and overlays, chair covers in a variety of colours, fine silverware, crystal glassware, and dinner sets, as well as flower and décor included in each venue.
Catering is done by specialized events chefs that offer menu tasting, servers, family-style menu, cocktail reception, stations, plated menu, buffet, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, or custom menu that caters to all dietary requirements.
