About Yorath House
Yorath House is in Edmonton, located in Buena Vista Park, close to Edmonton Valley Zoo and Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park. It is a two-story building built-in 1949 in the early modern style and owned by the Yorath family. It was sold to the city in 1992 that has done significant renovations. It has a horizontal, vibrant wood siding with a fieldstone lined chimney which welcomes guests to the outside garden and patio. It is an ideal place for hosting events like business meetings, corporate retreats, and intimate social events.
Yorath House has a unique ambiance for your weddings with perfect natural surroundings and has a modern, vintage, and garden-style setup that appeals to different styles. The venue has two main event rooms, namely the Birch room and the Lilac room, that you can hire together or separately, and you can have an indoor or uncovered outdoor event at this venue. Also, there is a small boardroom with access to the terrace to have intimate gatherings.
● Birch room has an accessible patio and a gas fireplace located on the main floor, which offers a beautiful view of the river. It can accommodate up to 60 seated guests. It also has large windows that allow sunlight into the open concept layout and the natural wood walls; brick fireplace balances the clean white and grey interior.
● The Lilac room on the second floor also offers magnificent views and can cater to up to 50 seated guests. This second-floor room has outdoor terraces that will give you space to relax in the fresh air.
