About The Peggy Corkum Music Room
A historic event place that contributed to the existence of the Scotia Festival of Music was dubbed as “the greatest music event in Canada’s history” in 1980, but not until 1991 was the event mapped internationally. The Peggy Corkum Music Room is considered the finest acoustic place in Canada, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, a famous place where known artists graced their performances and talents. Although offered as a music hall, the place can accommodate other events such as weddings, film screenings, conventions, rehearsals, recordings, live theatres, music lessons, photography, and other events relating to art. The venue is perfect for guests and couples who love music and theatre.
Although the venue is designed as a premium music hall, it offers a facility that is available for guests to rent and use.
The Music Room can be rented for per hour or day but only has a limited rent time of 8 hours daily. The room is designed with wood touches on its walls and ceilings, and the lights are theatre-like positioned above to give a spotlight to the main guests. The chairs are designed to blend with the colour of the ceiling, floor, and podium. The room is incredibly flexible, and the seating style can be customized depending on the guests’ scheduled event.
