About Waterloo Regional Police Association

Originally the only purpose of the recreation centre was to be a country escape for the police members. It was built in 1973, but it soon opened its doors to the public due to increased demand. The Waterloo Regional Police Association & Recreation Centre won the Cambridge Times Reader's Choice Awards four times and the best banquet facilities. It features diverse venues, sports and eating facilities, outdoor cooking, a heated outdoor pool, and 52 acres of shady trees and lush lawns. Just off Highway 401, you can enter your wedding ceremony or reception in style with a helicopter drop-off. As a country-style wedding venue, it offers convenience and luxury in one package.

Facilities and Capacity

• The wedding ceremony has availability for up to 400 seated and 800 standing guests. Choose where you want your wedding arch, under huge trees, baseball diamond, lush landscaped lawns, and chairs for your guests on both sides of a long aisle.
• Grand Ballroom comfortably seats 400 guests while also has a dancefloor and stage for a live band or DJ.
• Restaurant & Games Room caters to 125 seated guests while it also offers shuffleboard games and pool tables and large screen TVs for a casual or informal wedding reception.
